Homework
Homework is an integral part of learning and teaching. It provides children and young people with the opportunity to develop self-reliance, self-discipline, self-confidence and be responsible for their own learning. It also strengthens the link between home and school by supporting parents and carers to share in the learning process.
Homework can take many forms and will reflect the age, stage and area of learning currently being undertaken by your child. It will be issued on a regular basis and will be varied, meaningful and interesting.
Bridge of Weir Primary school has a set of homework guidelines that are outlined in the parent handbook at induction for Primary 1-3 and in the homework diaries for Primary 4-7.
You can request a copy of these from the school office.
The school offers a homework club to support our learners.
